Second Sunday of May

Also known as Mother’s Day…

In which I express how much I love and appreciate my wonderful mother…

In which I reflect on all the women I know who are great mothers (and being great mothers, always wish they were better still)…

In which I remember all the people who have lost their mother, all the women who have as-yet unfulfilled wishes to be mothers, those who are estranged from their mother, all those who in any number of ways find that Mother’s Day may come with twinges and pangs.

God bless and keep, guide and comfort, and meet you where you are today.
