2014 in blogging review

“The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.”

Their words, not mine. (I’d probably have chosen something slightly less offensive to all the fine people behind the scenes at WordPress.com, especially since “survey monkey” offends me as a researcher. Occasionally people use it as a subject line to me, and I’m never quite sure if they’re asking if we use the online survey tool of the same name, or if they’re calling me unflattering names.)

But I digress, as is my wont. Semi-random flotsam, y’all. Semi-random flotsam.

Anyway, have a happy new year, and thanks for reading.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,300 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 22 trips to carry that many people.
