When nothing is beautiful

Before I left, I mentioned to at least 2 of my colleagues that they were welcome to join me on my trip west.

“What’s out there?” they asked.

“Nothing,” I replied, “I’m going just to go. Just to see it.”

“But, what is there to see? What are they famous for?”

Nothing. There’s some things to do, of course. People live there. There’s a Scandinavian Heritage Center. There’s tunnels in Moose Jaw. There’s a National Park in western Manitoba. There’s a Peace Garden on the border. So, there’s stuff. Probably good stuff. But “famous”? Big “attractions”?  No, from what I can tell… there’s nothing.”

And that is all accurate. But I can confirm my suspicion for you now…
it’s a beautiful nothing.

  1. Too many people rely on attractions. I say nature is attraction enough!
