The search

My parents visit when there’s a house in the area they want to look at.

I love having them, the shift of pace, the extra reason to visit the rest of the family.

Still, it’s a process for them, and to a lesser extent for us.  Part of me thinks that as much as finding The House now would be a relief, there is an element of letting go that won’t really happen until their current house closes behind them. There is a grieving and a processing that (as I learned on my last day) doesn’t really hit until it hits.

And maybe when that happens, we will all be freed up to see opportunities instead of obstacles.

The Lord knows, and He is in control.
